The student chapter of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) holds several meetings each year. It sponsors a variety of seminars and field trips, as well as a programming team. Rose-Hulman is home to the first chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE, the computer science honorary society) chartered in Indiana. gEECS, Girls in ECE and CSSE, provides a venue for the women students in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science & Software Engineering to come together to socialize and discuss matters of concern to women in the computing field.
